Phase 1 of this project was to create the new location of the Region’s welcome space that offers the public in person support for access to community service programs.  The interior renovation of the existing 1st and 2nd floor of the buildings west wing involved minor demolition of partition and millwork, new wall construction, flooring, wall finishes, and paint throughout to suit the new configuration. Lighting reconfigurations, security modifications, upgrades, and improved accessibility, which will include two universal washrooms. The new space provided a modern and updated design.

Phase 2 was an interior renovation of existing 3rd and 4th floors, plus 1st and 2nd floor east wings

Partition and millwork demolition, wall construction. Flooring replacement, wall finish refreshen, fresh paint to match new colour themes. Lighting reconfigurations, access control modifications, upgrades pertaining to accessibility including adult change tables and assistance call buttons/strips.  2 new washrooms, and 6 new clinic rooms with sinks. Hanging of wall mounted items such as TV & AV equipment, artwork etc.  Upgrades to access control and relocation of existing card access swipes as required. Work was completed in 3 phases as the building was occupied during construction. Care and attention to detail was taken to ensure the safety of the building occupants as well as minimal disruption to the building operations.
