GEN-PRO was the successful bidder that was awarded the contract for the interior and exterior renovation of the South Fletcher’s Branch Library.
Operating under a stipulated price agreement, our role was to execute the technical designs provided by the client’s consultant team. Since we do not participate in the design phase, our focus was entirely on the high-quality construction and management required to modernize this vital community resource.
The primary challenge of this project was the integration of a major renovation within a facility that was undergoing a Net-Zero Retrofit.
Coordinating our work within the Susan Fennell Sportsplex required precise logistical planning. Because the design was finalized before our involvement, we focused our expertise to ensure the build stayed on track while the broader building’s energy systems were being overhauled.
Libraries have evolved from quiet book storage to dynamic community hubs. This renovation was essential to bring the South Fletcher’s Branch into the modern era. It provided a much-needed program and meeting rooms for residents.
Furthermore, by participating in the larger Net-Zero goals of the Sportsplex, this project ensured the library was as environmentally sustainable as it was socially impactful. The addition of new, light-filled exterior facades made the space more welcoming.
