Phase 1 of this project included approx. 33,700 sq. ft of flat roof replacement c/w new tapered insulation, new roof drains, new parapet blocking, asbestos abatement, metal siding replacement and ladder modifications at the W.F. Mitchell Athletic Centre. Phase 1 was completed over the winter months while the building remained occupied.

After the project started, the client and consultant added a significant amount of additional work to our contract (phase 2), which included replacement of the 13,000 sq. ft. metal roof assembly over the gold pool. This change to the contract also incorporated painting the steel structure and acoustic panels over the pool, painting walls and installation of new glass guardrails.

An Engineered scaffold platform was installed over the pool for protection and to allow access equipment to be used for painting. In addition, several stair towers were installed to access various roof heights across the building.
